153 BODIES RECOVERED FROM CRASH SITE

After 153 bodies and two bag loads of human parts were recovered from crash site ,rescuers decided to call it a day .

The director of search and rescue at NEMA said since the evacuation is 95 percent completed,the national agency will be handing over to the state emergency agency.


Julius Berger officials were praised for ensuring that the controlled demolition meets international standards.

On ground ,six people were confirmed to be affected by the cash,and others who were displaced were handed over to the state government,which has evacuated them to a safer place where they could stabilise and overcome the trauma.Bankole said;with these done, i can confirm to you we are going to close down this operation later today(yesterday). 

Amongs the 153 bodies recovered,149 were intact,49 could be readily identified and others have to be identified by DNA at the general hospital,Mr Ibrahim Farinloye NEMA spokesman said.
